MAPLE BREAD
1 loaf (1 pound) unsliced white bread
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup maple-flavored syrup
1/3 cup flaked coconut
1/3 cup slightly crushed whole wheat flake cereal
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cut bread almost in 2 inch squares; place on aluminum foil baking sheet. turn up edges of foil
Heat butter, honey and syrup over low heat, stirring constantly, until butter is melted. Pour 1/4 cup of honey mixture
between cuts in loaf. Mix coconut, cereal and brown sugar;sprinkle between cuts and over loaf. Drizzle with remainig honey
mixture. Bake until top is light brown, about 20 minutes. Serve warm
